“It’s a service that Clear Channel has been offering listeners in various major markets on the mainland such as New York City and Los Angeles,” said Paul Wilson, director of programming for Clear Channel Hawaii. “What’s different here is that we are actually providing extended content that has been broadcast on the radio – Clear Channel’s outlets on the mainland primarily offer short segments or bonus features that have not been broadcast. I like to think of it as TiVo for radio. If our listeners can’t catch a Rick Hamada or Mike Buck segment they are interested in, they can now download it for playback on their computers or MP3 players at a more convenient time. We’ll be adding other Clear Channel Hawaii programming from KSSK, HOT 93.9, Island 98.5 and STAR 101.9 in the coming weeks.”
